The Flower That Stabs... (Scotland's Thistle)
The Flower That Stabs...😈
This week, I had been doing an iExperience about Scotland with our learning coach. It had been successful, I had learned a lot of things from the workshop. One of the things I had learn from it is Scotland's National flower, Thistle.
Thistle is a beautiful flower but there is something it's more special for. It is sharp, it's covered in thorns...😱
How is it special? Long time ago in World War, the Scottish soldiers were sleeping in a tent when a group of other soldiers came and decided to attack them. To make sure the Scotland's soldiers don't wake up, they slowly and carefully took off their shoes. When they finished taking off their shoes, they sneaked into the Scottish's tent. Suddenly, one of them shouted. The person stepped onto a Thistle. The whole group of Scotland Soldiers woke up and defeated the other group of soldiers. 💬 The reason I've chose this is because I found it interesting and amazing, the story. It helped me because I've understanded why the Thistle is so important to the Scottish now. Above is a picture of my Thistle that I've created with some papers. 👆
A next step for me is to learn the next part about Scotland history because I've found this country is so interesting. Another next step is to learn about other countries and cultures. 😊
Well done Tash, you picked up the story and significance well. There are still some interesting things to learn about Scotland. I am so pleased you have enjoyed your learning.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are having a great time learning about Scotland with Miss B. How did your bagpipes turn out? Did you manage to play a tune?
ReplyDeleteHi,Selestine here
ReplyDeleteI was really impressed, your grammar was amazing and I was really impressed about the ability to use 2A sentences. I really do agree with your reflection and I think that you could of used a little more facts and Research on Scotland. On the whole I really loved your post.
Keep in mind you just found someone else who is going to read blogs daily
Sincerely
Selestine
