If I won't get it wrong again...ππ (Homophones Workshop)
Today was alright...π It was another normal Friday... Although I was focusing on practise presenting our iExplore with my friend, something else was quite interesting... ππ
It was the Homophones workshopπ. Don't get it wrong, it's not a home - phone (although it kind of sounds like it). It explained it all, when I see this punctuation ('), it really looks like a phone if you look at a bigger oneπ. But it's not about that punctuation, check down below if you want to know what homophone means or you can look at the explanation above.π
We Are Confused With Homophone All The Time!π±
We should have knew what it had meantπ. Homophone meant words that sounds the same but have different spellings, e.g, there, their, they're (If it doesn't define how you use the word, I'm sorry, it's so hard to defineπ₯π’).
Their - The thing someone own
They're - They are (short-cut)
Well, I'm not really confused with them, but sometimes I doπ. Every time, when I'm giving feedback to a person, I noticed that those 3 particularly words had been misusedπ¨.
Luckily the learning coaches held the workshop for us so we can improve our mistakes instead of keep making the mistakeπ³.
A Way We Can Remember Homophonesπ!!
Personally, I think homophones can be remembered by thinking the word as home-phone again, so it will make you think of phone because the punctuation looks like a phone (Get it?) .π
Bye, writing to you next time!!π
