Why is Math important ?

Image
Why is Math important ? Math is important because we use it everyday. Every hour, every minute and every second. Even now I'm using it to count down. We all use it everyday. Everything that you use everyday needs Math. And that's what makes it so important that we can't even not know Math. From looking at the clock to using your computer at work. Math is infinite. We will never learn the end of Math. That's why it's really important that we all open our heart to learn till when we can't learn anymore.

Day 2 Of Term 4

Image
Day 2 Of Term 4 Today was an average day. There's a reason for that, to be explained later. 😊 I look forward to Term 4 because last year was fabulous . We did amazing things like leading a workshop about something of our choice and a market day where my habitat go in groups and make things then sell them afterwards. FUN !!! 😁 BUT still, Term 4 might still be as brilliant as last year's . There's a reason I chose to add the word 'average' . After two weeks of holid ay, we still stepped into the same habitat from Term 3, the LH6 we know from Term 1, which is good. 👍 But I think we're still in our 'holiday' mode, maybe it'll be better next week. 😑 But today was great in anyway. Due to what happened at habitat today, I've set some next steps for myself :  Complete my work at high standards Try to be more independent

WE HAVE A NEW PLAYGROUND !! 😀😀

Image
WE HAVE A NEW PLAYGROUND !! 😀😀 WE HAVE A NEW PLAYGROUND !! 😀😀 It actually opened on Monday 28th August 2017 (Term 3, Week 6)... 💗 And my habitat was the first one to go on (which is why I'm so happy 😀) !! NOTE : PLAYGROUND ON THE RIGHT IS JUST AN IMAGE, NOT THE REAL ORMISTON PRIMARY PLAYGROUND.  Well I have no idea why I'm writing this blog post now because our last turn on the playground happened today at iBreak 2. 😔 Possibly because I'm too busy. 😥Busy on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school (I've got clubs).  Our playground is like a living space (because it is suppose to be one) as well as a play space (that's why it's a playground).  I like all the parts of the playground but the one thing I dislike is the thing that you hold on and spins you (got a headache for 1 hour after being on it for about 2 minutes, non-stop 💥😵). Thanks to my brother who was a part of designing the playground, I loved it (BUT I hate the spinner) . Quite sad that we can...

Speech DRAFT - Finished. (Traffic Light Reflection Format)

Image
Speech DRAFT - Finished. (Traffic Light Reflection Format)  I finally finished my speech draft !! 😀 One learning area I found tricky this week was finding synonyms and emotion languages to include in my speech. But I don't really have to worry about much because I can still revise and edit it.  One learning area I realised I need to improve on is knowing what emotions languages I can use more so that I won't repeat the words I've already used. 👍  Two areas I did really awesome this week are my punctuation  I've put into my speech draft and how I've organised my sentences and paragraphs. 😍 But other than those, everything was great the way they are. 😉   The End - Natasha Y

The Second Ever GEG NZ 2017 !! 😄😄

Image
The Second Ever GEG NZ 2017 !! 😄😄 On Friday the 11th of August 2017, Ormiston Primary and Ormiston Junior hosted the second ever Go ogl e Su mmit  NZ (GEG NZ) !! 😊 On that day, we were super thrilled. We opened our learning brains and get curious on technology.  About 5 or more schools came and participate on this awesome event that only happen in two years. And we are very lucky to be the host of this event this year. 👍 The LH6 learners all got a way to participate on this excellent opportunity of getting connected to technology. There were the presenters, participators, IT monitors, sidekicks and I think there's one or two more. I was a participator. There was also a group where you sing Waiata to welcome people. I was also part of that group. We sang Te Ahora and E Toru Nga Mea.  I learned about the Young Ocean Explorer's experiences and how can we save animals 🙈 in the sea, what Break Out is and how to do Stop Motion. ✋ I liked the Stop Motion workshop ...

Zumba Club Finally Being Successful !!! 😀😀

Image
Zumba Club Finally Being Successful !!! 😀😀 hello welcome back I'm so happy zumba club is so successful **PUNCTUATION DIFFICULTIES** Hello, welcome back !! 😉   I'm extremely happy, today in iBreak 1, Shreya and I was doing Zumba Club in the Multispace. 😉 We called everyone we passed by in LH6 who signed up last time to go to Zumba Club if they have time. Most of them agreed and came, but some of them did not keep their promise and did not turn up. 😟 There was 2 people at first, then we put on the music, more and more people came. 😸 Until what seems like 30-40 learners were in the Multispace dancing to the song. Shreya and I were very, very happy. 😊 At the end, we reminded everyone that Zumba Club will be on at the same time next week. Shreya and I asked a person in our class what they would rate the club as and they said 10 out of 10 !! 👍 A next step for us are to prepare the club more earlier so we can get straight into it. 😊 The End - Natasha

Getting My Literature Circle Book !! 😉😉

Image
Getting My Literature Circle Book !! 😉😉 Welcome back to my blog !!! 😊😊 I haven't written for a few days because I was too busy. 😌 I got my literature circle book though !! 👍 I like the illustration on the front page, it looks really modern. 💗 After reading the blurb, my prediction is probably the rat, Despareaux meeting a princess and they go on some kind of adventure. (It's going to be hard to spell his name correctly.) The rat is so tiny, it makes me connect to another book I've read, How to train your dragon. Hiccup's dragon, Toothless is extraordinary tiny. No matter what, I'm really excited to read this book. 😊 I'm also quite excited for the roles that's going to be applied to everyone reading this book. 😍 Last year I had done literature circle before, but with journals. So I kind of know how to do the roles. There is the 'Discussion Director', 'The Summarizer', 'The Illustrator', 'The Passage Picker...

The Flower That Stabs... (Scotland's Thistle)

Image
The Flower That Stabs...😈 This week, I had been doing an iExperience about Scotland with our learning coach. It had been successful, I had learned a lot of things from the workshop. One of the things I had learn from it is Scotland's National flower, Thistle . Thistle is a beautiful flower but there is something it's more special for. It is sharp, it's covered in thorns...😱  How is it special? Long time ago in World War, the Scottish soldiers were sleeping in a tent when a group of other soldiers came and decided to attack them. To make sure the Scotland's soldiers don't wake up, they slowly and carefully took off their shoes. When they finished taking off their shoes, they sneaked into the Scottish's tent. Suddenly, one of them shouted. The person stepped onto a Thistle. The whole group of Scotland Soldiers woke up and defeated the other group of soldiers. 💬 The reason I've chose this is because I found it interesting ...

The Highlights Of The Term ; End Of Term 2 Reflection

Image
The Highlights Of The Term; End Of Term 2 Reflection: I'm back everyone!!😊 I thought about a goal for myself, it's to focus more on reading than writing. But don't worry, I will still write on here every week!!👍 We did a huge amount of fun stuff this term and now is the end of it. I also achieved 🌟some achievements during this term.😉 What I'm Proud Of This Term: I'm super proud of winning the Fo Guang Shan Temple Writing Competition. I'm proud of my myth writing and a lot of other writings in my book.😍 I'm proud of my iExplore I've done this term with Shreya. I'm lucky to be one of the learner hosts hosting the Science Roadshow. I'm quite happy with my Kagan Group actually, we have been collaborating well the last 2 weeks. Goals for Term 3 & 4: I'm excited about the camp that's coming up at the end of next term, but I still have quite a nervous feeling if I would be homesick again. I'm pretty sure I won't be be...
